Early Life
She was born in Shikarpur, Sindh, on 26 November 1977. She has done MBBS but working in TV. Her father was the principal of a govt. College in Shikarpur. She spent her early life in Karachi. Her family always supported her and never forced their choices on her. They always encouraged her to buckle down. Career
She began her profession in 2001 as an RJ on a radio station. Later she got an offer from a private TV channel and hosted a first TV show “Hum Aur Aap Barah-e Rast.” This show made her famous, and individuals started to know her. Later she moved to ARY News in 2006 and hosted “Bakhabar Swaira.” In 2008 she joined ARY Digital and became a household name when she started to host Good Morning Pakistan. She left ARY Digital in 2010 as she appeared on Geo TV hosting Utho Jago Pakistan. The show was banned in 2014 because of blasphemy in the show. And Shaista left Pakistan because of security reasons. She came back to the country in 2015 and started hosting “Sitaray Ki Subh” on Hum Sitaray. Later she hosted “Mehmaan Nawaz” on Urdu 1 and “Ittehad Ramzan” on A Plus Entertainment. She again facilitated a morning appearance “Geo Subah Pakistan” on Geo TV and hosted it for the next three years.
Education
Shaista Lodhi is one of the most educated personalities in media. She completed her early schooling from Habib Public School Karachi. She took the entrance into the Govt. School for Women, Karachi, and passed her matric there. Then she went to Bahria College and finished intermediate. Fortunately, she got admission in Sindh Medical College, Karachi. Here, Shaista completed her MBBS degree in 2000.
Married Life
She married to Waqar Wahdi in 1999. They have three children, one daughter named Eeman Wahdi and two sons named Shafay Wahdi and Faiz Wahdi. This marriage did not go smoothly, and she got divorced from her first husband. She wedded again to her cousin Adnan Lodhi in 2015, who is the first Pakistani auctioneer in South Africa and known as a businessman.
Parents
Shaista Lodhi is the youngest one in her family. She is the daughter of Ali Gohar Lodhi and Roshan Taj Lodhi. Her father was a government servant and worked hard to grew up with his children. Her mother was a housewife.
Siblings
She has three brothers as siblings. Their names are Amir Lodhi, Tahir Lodhi, and Sahir Lodhi. Sahir Lodhi is also one of the famous TV moderators of Pakistan. He has a morning appearance on TV.
Additionally, he does have Ramzan Transmissions. Sahir is an outstanding performer in the Pakistani media industry. Shaista is the only daughter and has no sister. But her brothers cherished her so well.
Awards
She has won Dalda Expert Mom in 2009, which is honorary. Moreover, she also has received an award for the best anchor in 2010 in Pakistan Media Awards.
